Henri Salvador

Henri Salvador, the French answer of the Buena Vista Social Club wasn’t born in Cuba.He was born in 1917 in Cayenne, the Capitol City of French Guiana. He became famous when he played together with Dango Reinhardt in the thirties.

In 1947 he released his first album “Maladie d’amour”. Just a few of his big hits : „Le Lion Est Mort Ce Soir“  in 1962 , “Syracuse“ or „Juanita Banana“.
In 1975 he got his first own TV Show in France. He already became a living legend.
