There aren’t many musicians outside the folk music scene who are serious about getting to grips with the alphorn. The youngest in the league, Eliana Burki, who has opened up new perspectives fort this unwieldy instrument, not least through the success of her album „Heartbeat“, released in 2007 and produced by Dave Richards (Quenn, Chris Rea, David Bowie). The motto „Funky Swiss Alphorn“ subtitled the album and set the course in which this newcomer from Solothurn ventured to steer the music.

Eliana Burki has spent a lot of time on the road in the last few years. Her tour schedule has included South and North America, Asia, Japan and India; the 27 year ols Swiss has even been in demand in Dubai.
